Insulation for a better tomorrow

On 1st July 2013 the Construction Product Regulations (CPR) replaced the Construction Products Directive (CPD) and made CE Marking mandatory.

As a major European insulation manufacturer all URSA glass wool products have carried the CE Mark since its introduction in 2003. The Regulations require that all products have a Declaration of Performance (DoP) certificate which contains key information about the product’s characteristics and physical properties.

The CE Mark DoP Certificate number for every URSA glass wool product is available either from the pack label or from the URSA Technical Department. The certificate may be viewed or downloaded via our dedicated website.

As the UK is no longer a member of the EU a new accreditation system is required and the CE Mark has been replaced with the UKCA Mark. The new UKCA Mark certificates are available to download from the Documents section of our website or via the URSA dedicated DoP website. Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland will continue to accept CE Marking.

Compliance with BS EN 13162 and UKCA and/or CE Marking is deemed to show that all URSA glass wool products are fit for purpose and fit for use under the Building Regulations, NHBC Standards and similar technical guidance.
